PROGECO ENGINEERING SERVICE Srl (P.E.S.) is an Italian company that provides services for: multidisciplinary engineering, maintenance and installation of industriaI plants, Service Management and Technical Specialist Recruitment as authorized Employment Agency by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.  The company has principal offices in Solvay (Li), Florence, Vibo Marina (VV), Pomarance and Bari; The company has subsidiaries in Mexico, South Africa, USA, Brazil, Chile, Bulgaria and Romania. PES to date has over 200 employees, operating on Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Renewable Energy (Wind and Geothermal) fields for major national and international clients.
For a Client operating on Power field PES Srl is looking for Environmental Supervisor Italy, Russia, Morocco, Tunisie, Germany for construction of power plant.
Main tasks:
Ensure that:
- the contents of the Environmental Authorization (EA) and any other relevant licenses and permits, as applicable, are communicated to the Contractor site staff before the commencement of site establishment and construction on site
- the Site Manager and all the Contractors are fully aware of the requirements of the EA
and their obligations, with a relevant environmental Awareness Training Course (a record of the attendance of this training be maintained on site)
- activities on site comply with all relevant environmental legislation, and that the principal
contractor and the contractors have met their obligations against the environmental acts, permits and documentations
- the compliance with the requirements of the EA is monitored through regular and comprehensive inspection of the site and surrounding areas, and that any non-compliance or remedial
measures that need to be applied are reported.
*Implement, monitor and verify to ensure that environmental impacts are kept to a minimum as far as possible and supporting the Site Manager to guarantee the housekeeping of the site
 *Based on the client requests fulfil the processes that will be put in place at initial stage of the
construction or during it including the “Alert report”, with all the deviations found on site according the EGP procedures, assessing with the Site Manager / Project Manager the suitability and feasibility of resolution proposals and ensuring their implementation gather and verify from Contractors the environmental KPI related to the construction activities, and sending to the HSE Responsible
 *Attend the review meeting of the HSE responsible and Site Manager / Project Manager, and the monthly meeting with the representative of the Contractors, and submit report Report within 48 hours 
*Report all the environmental incidents and/or damages and near misses of the site 48 hours after
incident occurred and following all EGP procedures, keeping an incident register detailing all activities on site, problems identified, transgressions noted and a task schedule of tasks undertaken by the Environmental Officer
*Monitor all the obligations in charge of the Owner against the environmental authorities, providing to the Owner a time schedule showing the activities and the related deadlines
 *Support the Environmental Discipline to prepare on time all the notifications to be sent to the third
parts (Authorities, principal contractor, contractors, etc.) prior/during/and after the commencement of the construction
 *Support the Owner (or the Site Manager / Project Manager appointed by the Owner) during any meeting and inspections performed by the competent Authorities, attending during these meetings and inspections on site
 *Promote the incident analysis with the main contractors defining the root cause and relevant
mitigation measure to follow up.

Tools in charge to the Site Health and Safety Supervisor:
 -Daily Inspection Report
 Environmental legislation of reference
- IFC Drawings, Design TSs, Quality Control Procedures
-Main Accountability
 -Environmental media (e.g. air, water, land, fauna, flora)
-Techniques for determining risk (e.g. environmental aspects/impacts evaluation, including methods for evaluating significance)
 -Source reduction, waste minimization, reuse, recycling and treatment practices and process (waste, wastewaters, excavated soils)
 -Knowledge of hazardous substances
 -Environmental performance evaluation, and environmental reporting and disclosure
- Environmental design
 - Knowledge of safety at construction, environmental standard and Quality control
 -Audit techniques

 It is required of at least:
-7 years of experience as environmental specialist or similar role in Engineering or Construction Companies
 -Experience in the construction of power plants, HV/MV substations and HV T-lines
 -Experience with international company
 -Experience in infrastructural works (roads, rails, electrical grids) and renewable plants will be prefer
 -Environment-technical or Environmental Engineering degree (MSc) or equivalent qualifications (strong experience in supervising environment in large scale power plant construction can be considered equivalent)
 -Extensive travel with temporary relocation to construction sites both domestic and international for 6–12 month durations
-Possibility to work during different shift
-Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments in adverse and extreme weather conditions, and in confined spaces, and on scaffolding
